About this product
The 0L-6839BPA lamp is a new-equipment indicator light designed for use in aircraft cockpits, cabins, and equipment panels. It produces a bright, reliable glow when powered at its rated voltage, allowing pilots or maintenance crews to quickly see system statuses, such as “on”, “off”, or warning conditions. Encased in a heat-resistant glass envelope with a sturdy metal base, it installs into standard lamp sockets and provides consistent lighting without flicker.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

0L-6839BPA

  • Consistent Brightness - Designed to emit a steady, clear light at its rated voltage, ensuring indicators remain easily visible under all lighting conditions.

  • Heat-Resistant Glass Envelope - The bulb’s glass resists high temperatures generated by prolonged operation, helping maintain filament life and preventing glass deformation.

  • Standard Base Configuration - Fits common panel lamp sockets, making replacement quick and reducing the need to stock multiple adapter types.

  • Durable Filament Construction - Uses a tungsten-based filament that resists vibration and shock, minimizing the chance of filament breakage in turbulent flight.

  • Illuminating cockpit warning and status indicators, like landing gear, autopilot alerts

  • Backlighting cabin service signs and passenger convenience features

  • Providing visual cues on maintenance panels in avionics bays or equipment racks

  • Serving as a test-bench lamp during ground checks of electrical distribution panels

  • How long can I expect the lamp to last?

Under normal operating conditions, the typical service life is approximately 1,000 hours. Actual life may vary with switching frequency and ambient temperature.

  • How do I verify correct installation?

After seating the lamp in its socket, turn on the power and confirm that the indicator glows steadily. Check for any excessive wobble in the socket that might indicate poor seating or a worn base.

  • Is this lamp dimmable?

Not in the traditional sense. Dimming depends on reducing the supply voltage, which also shortens lamp life. For adjustable indicators, use a panel with an approved dimming control designed for these lamps.
