About this product
The 100088 Hydrolock cable is a factory-new control/recline cable intended to operate a Hydrolok-type seat recline or similar hydraulic locking device. In service, this cable connects the user control to the Hydrolok or recline actuator so the passenger or crew can release or set the seat recline smoothly and reliably. Hydrolok-style cables are made to resist stretch and kinking, are fitted with corrosion-resistant end fittings.

  • Low-Stretch: Low-stretch core for consistent control feel and accurate lock engagement.

  • Fatigue-resistant: Fatigue-resistant design for long cycle life in frequent-use seating applications.

  • Corrosion-resistant: Corrosion-resistant end fittings for secure attachment to controls and Hydrolok inputs.

  • Strong and Secure: Protective outer jacket to guard against abrasion, cabin cleaners, and routine handling.


  • Operates passenger seat recline locks in economy and premium cabins to allow controlled recline.

  • Connects crew and cockpit seat controls to Hydrolok or hydraulic recline actuators in flight crew seats.

  • Links jump-seat release controls to their locking mechanisms used by cabin crew during operations.

  • Used in business/first-class seats where manual or semi-mechanical recline release is required.


  • What should I inspect on delivery?

Verify the trace paperwork and part number, check end fittings for correct type and security, inspect the jacket for cuts or kinks, and confirm smooth push/pull action by hand.

  • Can a stretched cable be adjusted, or must it be replaced?

Minor slack may be adjustable per the seat maintenance instructions; visible stretch, fraying or broken strands require replacement for safety and reliable operation.

  • How should I store unused cables?

Keep in original packaging, flat or on suitable reels, in a clean, dry environment away from solvents, sharp objects, and direct sunlight to protect the jacket and fittings.
