Cut rings to match gland circumference, stack evenly, and compress to the OEM-specified gland torque.

  • How often should the packing be replaced?

Inspect at each major overhaul or when leakage exceeds permissible limits; typical life is 1,000–2,000 operating hours.

  • Does this packing resist aviation fluids?

The component’s PTFE-aramid composition is fully compatible with Jet A/A-1, Skydrol®, MIL-PRF-5606, and cleaning solvents.
