About this product
The 54917-4 is a factory-new aircraft seal channel supplied with FAA 8130-3 paperwork. A seal channel is a formed strip (usually metal or approved composite) that captures and retains an O-ring, bulb seal or gasket along a joint, door edge, window frame or panel opening. Installed into the structure or panel flange, the channel provides the correct seating geometry and clamping surface so the seal compresses evenly and prevents air, fluid, dust or smoke leaks.

  • FAA 8130-3 certified: Supplied with traceable certification for use in certificated maintenance records.

  • OEM form-fit: Manufactured to the dimensions and profile required for the approved sealing location.

  • Secure seal retention: Holds the seal firmly in the groove to prevent extrusion, rotation or loss during service.

  • Even compression face: Provides a consistent sealing surface so the gasket compresses uniformly along the joint.


  • Retains the gasket around service and access doors to keep cabin or equipment bays pressure-tight.

  • Holds window seals in place to prevent air and moisture ingress at window frames.

  • Provides the mating face and retention for seals on cargo doors and equipment hatches.

  • Used at inspection panels to keep dust and fluids out of equipment bays during flight and ground ops.
