  • Mechanical Strain Relief: Prevents cable movement from loading contacts and reduces connector wear.

  • EMI/Shielding Path: Provides a conductive path from cable braid to connector shell to control interference.

  • Environmental Protection: Helps shield the connector interface from dust, fluids and splash exposures.

  • Provides EMI continuity and mechanical support at RF cable terminations.
