PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

BACP11J230

  • PTFE‑Impregnated Aramid Fibers: Low friction and excellent chemical compatibility with aviation fluids.

  • Low Compression Set: Maintains sealing force after repeated thermal and pressure cycles.

  • Braided Construction: Conforms easily to gland geometries for simplified installation.

  • Self‑Lubricating: Reduces shaft wear and torque requirements in rotary seals.


  • Seals valve shafts in flight‑deck hydraulic control units under pressure.

  • Prevents leaks around rotating shafts in fuel and oil pumps during bench tests.

  • Provides dynamic sealing in flap and slat actuators under aerodynamic loads.

  • Maintains leak‑proof function in uplock and downlock cylinders during gear cycling.


  • How do I install the packing correctly?

Cut rings to groove circumference, install one to three rings evenly, then compress to the manufacturer’s gland torque.

  • Is lubrication required during installation?

A light film of compatible fluid eases installation but is not strictly necessary.

  • How often should the packing be replaced?

Inspect at each overhaul or when leakage exceeds allowable limits. Typical life is 1,000–2,000 operating hours
