J1438P127

  • FAA 8130-3 certified: Supplied with traceable paperwork suitable for inclusion in certified maintenance records.

  • OEM-dimensioned: Manufactured to the original form and fit so it drops into the designed gland or groove without modification.

  • Good compressibility: Conforms to mating surfaces to form a consistent seal with modest assembly force.

  • Low extrusion tendency: Engineered to remain in the gland under normal system pressures when installed correctly.


  • Seals the piston or rod gland during actuator overhauls and routine maintenance.

  • Prevents oil leakage from pump casings during bench testing and in-service operation.

  • Provides shaft/stem sealing in control and isolation valves within hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

  • Used to seal removable ports and fittings during fuel-system servicing when OEM specifies.

Follow the aircraft or equipment AMM. Clean mating surfaces, seat the packing evenly in the gland, and use any specified lubrication or installation tools.

  • Can I reuse the packing after removal?

Generally, packing is replaced when disturbed. Reuse is only acceptable if the AMM/OEM explicitly permits it and the packing passes inspection.
