The LK81080 is a factory-new aircraft washer supplied with traceable paperwork. As a washer, its primary role is to distribute clamp load, protect mating surfaces, and set correct stack height when used with bolts, screws, or nuts. Washers help prevent loosening, reduce indentation in soft part,s and keep fastener preload stable under vibration.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

LK81080

  • OEM form-fit: Manufactured to the dimensions called out for drop-in replacement in the IPC/AMM.

  • Traceable supply: Supplied with trace paperwork to support maintenance records and audits.

  • Load-distribution function: Spreads clamp load to reduce local crushing or deformation of mating parts.

  • Protects finish and surfaces: Prevents fastener heads or nuts from digging into panels, brackets, or soft coatings.

  • Distributes clamp load under screw or nut heads when securing external or interior panels.

  • Protects bracket faces from indentation when mounting small brackets and supports.

  • Used in shims/stacks to set the correct preload or spacing on small bearings and bushings.

  • Prevents damage to wiring looms and clip mounting points when tightened.


  • Will it fit my fastener?

Use LK81080 only where the IPC/AMM or parts list specifies it; verify inner/outer diameter and thickness on the trace paperwork against the drawing.

  • Do washers affect torque values?

Yes, washer thickness and finish influence clamp-up; always apply the torque values specified in the AMM for the complete fastener stack.

  • Are there special storage requirements?

Store in original packaging in a clean, dry area away from corrosive chemicals and extreme temperatures to protect the finish and paperwork.
