The LN6799-090 is a spring-steel lock washer designed to prevent nut and bolt assemblies from loosening under vibration and thermal cycling.   • Locks pivot-pin bolts against gear-bay vibration during extension cycles.

  • Secures mounting-stud nuts on pumps and generators under high-rpm vibration.

  • Maintains clamp on hinge-pin bolts in aileron and elevator assemblies in turbulence.


  • How does the split-ring washer lock fasteners?

Its helical springs bite into the underside of the nut or bolt head and the mating surface, creating friction that resists rotation.

  • Do I need any special tool to install it?

No, place the washer under the nut head or bolt flange, then tighten the nut or bolt to the specified torque with a standard wrench.
