PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

NAS1611-464

  • PTFE-Aramid Construction: Combines the strength of aramid fibers with the low-friction, chemical resistance of PTFE.

  • High Pressure Capability: Seals effectively under both static and dynamic pressures up to 2,000 psi.

  • Low Compression Set: Maintains shape and sealing force after repeated cycles, minimizing maintenance.

  • Braided for Conformity: Easily conforms to gland shapes and irregular surfaces for even compression.


  • Seals control-valve shafts in flight-control manifolds under high pressure.

  • Prevents leaks around rotating shafts in fuel and oil pump assemblies.

  • Provides dynamic sealing in flap and slat actuator cylinders during flight.

  • Maintains leak-proof function in uplock and downlock cylinder glands.


  • How do I prepare it for installation?

Cut rings to the exact gland circumference, stagger the seam, and compress evenly to specification.

  • Is lubrication required during assembly?

A light coating of compatible fluid aids initial break-in but is not strictly necessary.

  • How often should I inspect or replace it?

Inspect at major overhauls or when leakage exceeds limits. Typical service life is 1,000–2,000 hours.
