NSA5454-8RH

  • Self-Locking Insert - Nylon or metal-type lock element resists back-off under vibration, preserving joint integrity without the need for secondary locking hardware.

  • Precision Thread Form - Machined to aerospace UNJ fine-pitch tolerances, ensuring smooth engagement and uniform torque response across multiple installations.

  • Corrosion-Resistant Alloy - Crafted from passivated 300-series stainless steel, it withstands salt spray, hydraulic fluids, and environmental contaminants typical of aircraft service.

  • Dual-Release Documentation - Supplied new (NE) with trace-level material certification and eligible for FAA 8130-3 or EASA Form 1 release to satisfy global airworthiness standards.


  • Securing wing-to-fuselage and empennage structural joints.

  • Retaining clevis pins in landing-gear uplock and downlock mechanisms.

  • Capturing shear bolts in access panels and equipment racks.

  • Locking attachment hardware on engine mounts and thrust-reverser assemblies.


  • Can this nut be reused after removal?

Reuse is not recommended once the lock insert has been torqued beyond its initial setting. It is recommended to replace it with a new unit to ensure proper locking performance.
