The RA21024‑12‑19 is a high‑strength forward engine‑mount bolt engineered to secure the front trunnion of turbine and piston engines to the airframe mount assembly. RA21024-12-19

  • Corrosion‑Resistant Finish: Zinc‑nickel plating resists moisture, fuels, and hydraulic fluids.

  • Self‑Locking Patch: Integrated nylon patch prevents loosening under vibration without a lockwire.

  • Fatigue‑Rated Design: Optimized shank geometry resists cyclic loading in dynamic engine mounts.

  • Traceable Serial Tag: Each bolt carries a unique code for maintenance record control.


  • Attaching the forward trunnion of the turbine and piston engines to the airframe mount.

  • Securing the engine mount beam front fitting under axial and shear loads.

  • Fasten secondary support brackets on the engine pylon or mount frame.

  • Locking vibration‑isolation bushings in place within the engine‑mount assembly.


  • Do I need lockwire in addition to the patch?

No, the nylon locking patch provides sufficient vibration resistance; lockwire is optional per maintenance practice.

  • Can this bolt be reused after removal?

Re‑use is not recommended. Install a new bolt to ensure full locking and fatigue life.

  • How do I inspect the bolt before use?

Check for an intact patch, corrosion‑free finish, undamaged threads, and a matching serial tag.
