PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

RFY04UJ

  • High-Load Capacity - Hardened bearing surfaces and optimized geometry deliver static radial load ratings exceeding 5,000 N and axial capacity over 3,000 N, suitable for primary control assemblies.

  • Low-Friction PTFE Liner - An injected PTFE-based liner between the races reduces drag torque and eliminates the need for external lubrication, extending service intervals and minimizing maintenance.

  • Corrosion-Resistant Finish - All exposed steel components are cadmium-plated and passivated per MIL-C-5541 to resist moisture, hydraulic fluids, and airborne contaminants.

  • Integrated Lock Collar - A swaged collar on the outer race secures the bearing in the housing bore, preventing axial movement under high-vibration environments.


  • Spoiler and aileron control rods on CRJ-700/705/900 and ERJ-135/140/145 aircraft.

  • Landing-gear uplocks and downlocks in narrow-body airframes.

  • Elevator and rudder trim mechanism pivots in transport-category jetliners.

  • Structural linkage joints in cabin door actuators and service panels.


  • Does this rod end require routine lubrication?

No, its PTFE-lined race provides continuous self-lubrication, eliminating scheduled greasing and reducing maintenance downtime.

  • How do I verify proper installation clearance?

Install so the outer race sits flush with the housing bore. Ensure the lock collar engages fully without deforming the PTFE liner or steel races.

  • Is the rod end life-limited?

It carries no time-in-service limit but should be replaced when signs of wear or increased articulation torque are detected.
